It's making sense!

Hi Dave,

Just a note to say that I've experience a few of your programs, and the reason I'm writing here is because I think it's easy for some people to miss an important point as it applies to your teaching style. After being involved with both ProProach and Right Hand Chord Piano Made Easy, it really started to click with me. As you know, I've emailed you about this and I decided to share it here.

You are really about getting people to touch upon their creative ability. And though I didn't understand this before, it recently "clicked" with me. In order to nurture our creativity, we need guidance, not a finger pointed at us... and I don't think anyone understands this more than you. Now I see why you place value in not telling a person "to do it this way or that way" but, rather, you provide suggestions and encourage that individual to think for himself or herself. I like this and appreciate it more now than ever.

Throughout ProProach, you emphasize this... sometimes, a person needs to hear something a hundred times before it really "hits home," but I guess you understand that, too. Your approach, to me, is remarkable. Right Hand Chord Piano Made Easy would seem elementary to the average person starting that program, but now I see that it's more than what you know, but how you use what you know. Both programs leave it up to the individual to use his or her own head when it comes to playing creatively.

I haven't witnessed this approach to teaching in anyone else... your style is truly unique and success-oriented. It's true that there are thousands of products out there to help a person to learn how to read music, etc., but when it comes to nurturing a person' creativity from the very beginning, your efforts really are tops.

So thanks again, and to anyone out there considering putting some of these tools to work, you'll be glad you did once you make the decision. Expect something different here.
