Piano Keyboard Notes

Learning the piano keyboard notes, or the names of the keys on the keyboard (which may be a little more accurate), is a much simpler process than one might make it out to be at first glance. If you look closely, it will not take long to see that the layout of the keyboard is very symmetrical.

Once you recognize this, note identification becomes easy because the letters repeat themselves. For example, once you know that the G is the first note in between the set of two black keys, then you know where all the G's are on the piano. And once you know that the black key next to G is G# (going to the right), they you know where all those are as well.

In addition, as you make the association of the keys on the piano to the musical staff, you will see that the pattern continues. Once you recognize that the staff can actually be looked at as a piano keyboard, then things really fall into place. Click here to start getting a handle on all of this... and enjoy the learning process!
