A little each day does wonders!
I had no clue. Actually, I went years thinking that learning all this "reading music" stuff would involve countless hours on my part, so I resigned myself to just playing what I had picked up from watching my older brother when we were kids. I wish my eyes opened sooner! I used the little book here at the site and it helped me see it in a different light. A few minutes each day over the past couple of weeks has opened me up to a whole new way of thinking about all this! Yep... I can read music : )
